In raising rabbits, we strive to breed for the best quality of rabbits that meet the ARBA “Standard of Perfection” for each breed.  Not all bunnies will mature to be show rabbits; sometimes in a litter you will have a show bunny, a pet bunny, and a good quality brood doe.  Below we have listed a brief description of each characteristic.

Show Quality:

A rabbit with this trait is a rabbit of high quality with no known faults that meets the breed standard in accordance with the ARBA “Standard of Perfection”.

Brood Doe:

A brood doe may or may not have any disqualifications faults. The doe however when bred to a high quality buck should produce high quality show rabbits with desirable traits.

Pet Rabbits:

A pet rabbit would be a rabbit with one or more undesirable trait that does not meet the “Standard of Perfection”.  This is usually a cosmetic thing, like wrong color or too many white hairs or the rabbit has gone over the allowed size for its breed.  It does not mean in any way that the rabbit is unhealthy or useless.
