In raising rabbits, we strive to breed for the best quality of rabbits that meet the ARBA “Standard of Perfection” for each breed. Not all bunnies will mature to be show rabbits; sometimes in a litter you will have a show bunny, a pet bunny, and a good quality brood doe. Below we have listed a brief description of each characteristic.

Show Quality:

A rabbit with this trait is a rabbit of high quality with no known faults that meets the breed standard in accordance with the ARBA “Standard of Perfection”.

Brood Doe:

A brood doe may or may not have any disqualifications faults. The doe however when bred to a high quality buck should produce high quality show rabbits with desirable traits.

Pet Rabbits:

A pet rabbit would be a rabbit with one or more undesirable trait that does not meet the “Standard of Perfection”. This is usually a cosmetic thing, like wrong color or too many white hairs or the rabbit has gone over the allowed size for its breed. It does not mean in any way that the rabbit is unhealthy or useless.

Sprite is the result of a big oops breeding. He is Holland Lop and Britannia Petite. His daddy escaped the exercise pen one day and found our Holland doe. He is a broken black otter. Rambo is a super cute little guy. Is maturing out so nicely. We originally thought he would be pet quality but the older he is gettting the nice head and ear are coming on. He is staying very compact. So right now Rambo is showing lots of potiental as a herd sire and showing.

Tally is sure tempting to keep but we are so full as it is with cage space. He is so pretty and just love his markings. However he only has two spots on his back and we think this will not be enough for showing. Tally would be a great herd sire or pet bunny. He is very sweet and think he will mature out very nicely. Both these guys are super sweet and just very nice rabbits. They both are on the bigger size but have produced smaller than themselves. We are making room for up coming litters and are no longer breeding these two. They would make great 4-H rabbits or lovable pets.
